Look for reviews that match up with your lifestyle: Traveling alone, traveling with a family, business travel, etc. Many travel sites also offer a professional review on hotels so that you can take the word of a professional who knows what to look for, not just the word of a teenager who stayed in a youth hostel and thought the lodging rocked.
